Just Chill.

Well, this blog post is actually a few days late. I meant to put this up two or three days ago, but I couldn't be bothered doing the crap I'd need to in order to get this video up here.

Basically, Bruno had been pawing at the door and so I leashed him up and took him into the garden. Only, once out there, he decided to plop down into the grass and fall asleep. I looked at him and thought, well, that lucky bastard. If only I could do that too, you know?

And then I figured, why the hell not? No one's stopping me. The grass is green and clean (I hope), it's a hot summer day, why on earth shouldn't I lie down in the grass next to my dog and just chill?

Well, I'm not stupid. I headed in, grabbed an old cushion and my camera, and then came back out and slept in the grass next to Bruno, my head nicely cushioned, the rest of me at the mercy of whatever bugs were out there.

We stayed out there for ages. It was actually quite nice. Birds flying overhead (I genuinely prayed none would shit on me), Bruno trying to do a full turn (he managed it!), and myself just making sure the dog stayed in the camera's frame.

In other news, exams have been going okay. I'm not failing, at least, so there's that. *grin*

I've got Physics tomorrow, Mechanics on Thursday, and then the final Biology exam on the following Wednesday. I've high hopes for the Physics paper (I have genuine feelings of love for this one. It's just such a nice paper, you know?), not so high for Mechanics, but I'm working on it. And Bio? Bah. Bah, I say.

My fanfiction days have dwindled to nothingness. I blame the exams, of course, and other stressing issues. I fully plan to get back to it as soon as the 1st of June is over. That's the day, after all, that high school officially ends for me.

Also, I've gotten back into watching some anime. Not the usual romantic drivel I used to favour. Nowadays, I'm watching stuff like Deadman Wonderland, The Blue Exorcist and Sekai'ichi Hatsukoi.

Of these, Deadman Wonderland is actually very gore-y, but also very, very good. Really makes you think, wince, feel and all. The Blue Exorcist is pretty funny. You burst out laughing in the very first scene.

And Sekai'ichi Hatsukoi is by the same group that did Junjou Romantica, so I'm watching it out of loyalty to them. And, it's really really cute. =3

And really, I should be studying. But screw it. I can't be assed.

Do Bow, Dear Sir.

Yesterday, while I was meant to be studying for my Biology/Maths exams, I felt like I needed to do something productive. Yes, yes, studying is productive, I suppose.

It is also tearfully dull.

So. I decided to train Bruno to do something, since I haven't trained him past any of his usual tricks. He can sit, go down, heel, come, and more recently, sleep and bow.

I taught him Sleep about a month ago, when I had another of these I'm-so-bored fits. Yesterday, I taught him how to bow. It took me a while, but I maintain that he is the smartest dog in the world - he got what I was trying to teach him pretty quickly, really. I'm quite proud that he remembered the command today as well. I think eventually, I'll turn it into a whole martial-arts sequence. Make him bow, and then go into combat. That sounds cool, no?

The video I've put up was taken today - this morning, in fact. You can see for yourself how well he's learnt. There were a few hiccups, of course, and I had to repeat a couple of commands - but do bear in mind that he is, in addition to being intelligent, hopelessly stubborn. Stubborn enough that you have to literally drag him out of a room via his rear legs if he decides he's too lazy to stand up and move himself.

And. Mum says to please ignore the laundry in the back. I think it proves we're a normal household, but apparently not. *shrugs* Up to you.

Enjoy.

In other news, Physics went alright. You know how you think you did pretty well, and then people start talking about it and you're like, "uh, shit. I'm failing"?

Yeah, well. My advice? People. Stop, for the love of all things ice-cream-related, talking about the exams. The paper's over. There's no need to make the rest of us feel so shitty.

Recently, I wrapped up some loose ends with some old friends. We'd been in an argument in which I was in the wrong. I wrote a massive apology though, sent it, and all seems to be well. I'm glad. I'd really prefer not having any enemies or such when I leave for Uni. Fresh start and all that.

Anyway. Biology beckons.

Post-Grad Mess

The Final Goodbye

Well, it was fun while it lasted.

Meeting friends, keeping friends, the final party, the final goodbye. It's not officially over yet (we've still got our exams to charge through), but in a way, it is.

There were so many signs yesterday, ones that increased my nervousness as the Graduation Ceremony neared. For instance, we wanted to be there early so that we could get good seats. We were planning on leaving the house at 5:00 p.m, actually, so we'd be there by 5:15. The ceremony started at 6:00.

But things started going wrong, and the trepidation just kept building and building. In my case, anyway. Aehshaan (Note: Brother) said that his hunger was building more than anything.

Mum and Dad went out for something around 1 o'clock, and promised to be back no later than 2:15, with lunch. I had an appointment at the salon for my hair, at 3:00. Before we knew it, it was 4:00 in the evening and my parents were nowhere in sight. I was in a full-blown panic (although no longer hungry, because Aehshaan ordered burgers), convinced that we would never make it in time. I was going to miss my own graduation!

But Mum called and said to be ready, jump into the car as soon as it reached the house. I stood outside and when the Tahoe pulled up, we hightailed it to the salon. Once there, Mum dropped me off, promised to be back within forty minutes, and took off to the local mall to eat lunch because she'd apparently gone without.

The salon did their work within the forty minutes, thank god. Janie, my usual hair stylist, couldn't attend to me personally because some other woman had a stupid wedding (not as important as my graduation, the nerve!) and she had to handle her instead of me. But she did keep popping up and messing with my hair when she thought something wasn't right. Thank God. I trust Janie more than any of those other women, mostly because I've been going to her for the past three or so years.

With my hair done, Mum came and picked me up and we rushed back home to get dressed. It was 5:00 when we reached the house, so you can imagine my state. We were all ready to leave by 5:40, at least.

When we left the house though, there was a tennis ball that was placed exactly underneath our garage door. So when we pushed the button that ought to have shut it and drove off, Aehshaan turned back in time to see the stupid thing hit the ball and then lift back up. We had to drive back home, Aehshaan had to jump out and kick the ball out of the way, and then we tried again.

Five minutes later on the road, we managed to hit a bird.

I hope the thing made it. I doubt it, and I feel sorry for it if it did, but I really hope it made it.

Stupid bird. Just another thing that served as a weird premonition that things wouldn't go so well.

But I was wrong. I reached the place in time, the graduation ceremony was perfect, and I couldn't have asked for more. Robbie (Note: Awesome photographer/cameraman/director/video-editor/friend) made this professional-looking video that I will one day link here, once it's up. It was amazing.

Earlier, I was worried that I wouldn't cry at the ceremony, because I was certain that everyone around me would cry because we were all leaving and all that. But I totally cried. And there was this one bit in the video where there's this photo of me and a bunch of friends, and it kind of falls off a locker and lands on the ground and just lies there. I burst out into sobs at that point.

Saddest part? I was the only one in my row to cry. Niki was crying directly in front of me, and I wish she had been next to me instead so that we could have cried together (I love you, Niki), but ah well.

Samiya gave me a tissue. (I love you too, Sam.)

We got into the limo after that, and went around for an hour in it (Note: It was a Porsche Cayenne limo) before it dropped us off at Raffles. Oh, and we popped a non-alcoholic grape-juice-style champagne bottle in the limo! *grin*

The grad party was so much fun. We danced and we danced and we danced. And we went outside for a bit at one point, and we wanted to wander off into this garden-esque area, but when we did, this girl came out and said, "You don't want to go in there, there's someone having sex in there." And she said it that way too, with the emphasis on the sex part.

What did Niki and I do? We grinned at each other, grabbed each other's hands, and charged in to see if we could find these people.

We couldn't, sadly. But oh well.

Anyway, the grad party was great. The food, the music, the people, it was all amazing. We left at around 1-ish, although the thing was supposed to go till 3:00. Dad wasn't too keen on letting me stay that late though, but that's alright. 1:00 a.m was pretty reasonable, really.

Anyway, my hair's been a mess since yesterday.

Post-Grad Mess
I feel so uncultured compared to the elegance and stuff of yesterday. But it's alright. I'm sorry it's over, but my life has only just begun.

Ciao.

Pre-Grad Stress

The High School Era
It's an odd topic to start a new blog with, actually. The fact that I'm graduating High School today, I mean. It's like I'm beginning something with an ending. But, if you look at it the way I do, I'm basically starting the blog where I'm starting out a whole new chapter in my life. I'm saying goodbye to the High School Era. So it's not odd, not really.

You're odd. *challenging brow-lift*

Anyway.

Every time I think about this evening, I get nervous. I should be feeling all delirious and drunk with happiness and all that, that I'm finally done with 13 years of schooling. But then I think about all the things that could possibly go wrong; My dress, being the length it is, is one of them. I am likely to trip and die.

Or my shoes. I love them, I think they're gorgeous, and they go brilliant with the aforementioned dress. But they are also high enough to put me on level with the Burj Khalifa  (Note: Exaggeration), and sharp enough that if I step on someone else's foot, the poor girl will probably have to bleed to death (Note: Fact). And wouldn't that just put a damper on things.

Let's not forget that I have to get my hair done later today; in about 2 hours, actually. And then I have to wear that stupid graduation hat, which will ruin my hair, I know.

And then, at the graduation ceremony, I have to walk across the stage, after climbing up its steps first. And then climb back down. In my dress. With the shoes. And the stupid "Graduation Robe" they gave us that makes everyone look like freaking hippos. And that stupid, stupid hat.

I'm doomed.

I'm just complaining though. I know I'll have to be careful, but I'm not the only one. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way. But, if anyone trips, I just pray to God it's not me. Or maybe I should be praying that nobody trips?

Bah. To Hell with it. Let them all trip, for all I care.

Except me. *grin*

No, but seriously. If all goes well, we'll be done by 7:30 tonight. And then the limo's picking us up (by us, I mean myself and a bunch of friends) from school, and we're off to the after-party at Raffles.

I hope I spelled that right. I've been confused lately, as to whether it's Raffles or Ruffles Hotel. But Ruffles is a stupid name for a hotel shaped like a pyramid, don't you think? So I'm going to go with Raffles.

Anyway, back to topic. I really don't like our graduation robes. We spent 70 bucks for that shit. My mum just finished ironing my robe, and she was furious with the quality. She told me to point out the person responsible for designing that craptastic stuff, but I warned her to drop it. The last thing I need is to make a scene. Even though the robes do suck.

On the other hand, though, I'm also sure that they didn't mean to give us terrible robes for our graduation. I mean, they have to wear it too, right? If anything, I feel sorry for them. I'm sure people must have given them hell about it. Poor things. They did their best. And the robes aren't so terrible when everyone's in it. The suckiness kind of pales when we're one big massive blob of people bunched together.

Anyway, the reason I'm doing this blog thing is to give my friends a way to keep in touch with what's going on in my life, outside of facebook. I'll try and update it on a fairly regular basis, and I really do hope I remember to. Plus Sahani (Note: Super-Cool Cousin) has been bugging me about this, that lovable creature. And Nikita (Note: Best Friend) has been asking for something like this, although I don't think she had a blog in mind.

And I think it might be interesting for any future University friends of mine to read. Not that I'm vain enough to believe that they will actually read this in an effort to know me better, but they might find it somewhat intriguing, right? To those of you reading this in the future, Hi! Glad to meet you. To my current friends, well. You know. Sup. *tips hat*

Anyway, Mum's calling. I think I have to get my hair done now. I shall (hopefully) update later.

Ta for now.
